| 1. The Company is taking steps to transfer the unclaimed Dividend A/c
for the years 1996-97 and 1997-98 to investor Education & Protection
Fund.
2. Outstanding balance of Sundry Debtors, Loans & Advances, Unsecured
Loan, Sunday Creditors are subject to confirmation by relevant parties.
3. The Information regarding Small Scale Industrial Undertaking to
whom the company own a sun exceeding Rs. 1 lacs is not ascertainable.
4. The Company is mainely engaged in tea business and the other
division are not substantial and non-recurring in nature therefore do
not required the segment reporting AS-17 as issued by the institute of
chartered Accountants on India.
5. Contigent Liabilities not provided for in respect of
i) Claims against the Company not aclnowledgement as debts Rs.
1,77,688.
ii) Enhanced taxes payable under Assam Land Revenue Reassessment
(Amendment) Act, 1990 Rs.88,888/
iii) Outstanding Bank Guarantee Rs. 8,66,114
iv) Income Tax Rs. 686,125 and Agriculture Income Tax Rs. 14,55,278
which are under appeal.
