1. CONTINGENT LIABILITIES
Claims against the Company not Acknowleged
as Debt :
i) The Company had received an order from the Commissioner of Central
Excise, Coimbatore in the year 2004-05 demanding an amount of Rs 29.35
Lakhs for the disallowance of CENVAT credit and Rs 35.35 Lakhs as
penalty in connection with the shifting of the machinery. The Company
has appealed against this order and obtained a stay order from the
CESTAT, Chennai.
